Ford’s Russian plant workers got back to work after strike

Ford Motor Co. in Russia opens starts production once again after local workers ceased to go to work for eight days. Demanding a 30% increase in their wages and a 6 1/2-hour night shift, the 1,500 Ford’s Russian workers returned to the plant near St. Petersburg.

Ford increases car production with overtime

To meet the growing demand of Ford’s small sport-utility vehicles, the company plans to raise overtime work in order to increase production of the Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner.

New incentive package, approved

Ford Motor Co. received an approval of its incentive package from the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority. According to the report done by Business First yesterday, the incentive will allow Ford to invest $200 million at the Kentucky Truck Plant in eastern Jefferson County.
