Mobile magazine recently reported that Ford will be putting an end to the Ford Ranger pickup truck by 2009. After 20 years, the Twin Cities Plant in St. Paul, Minnesota and the engine-casting plant in Cleveland, Ohio will be shut down.
The Twin Cities Plant is responsible for the Ranger’s production, while the plant in Cleveland, Ohio is designated to do the casting of the engine blocks for the compact pickup.
The plants will be shut down due to Ford’s $2 billion UAW savings.
